New Features in Version 17.1 (July 2017)

General Enhancements

New icons throughout the system.

Added a button to allow installing updates from the Login window.

Even though the “Insert” buttons have been re-labeled as “Add” buttons, the user can still use the keyboard shortcut “Alt-I” to add a record.

The user now has the option to use A-Systems’ email server in email setup.

The “To-Do List” browse window now has a golden arrow, allowing the To-Do List items to be exported or printed.

When selecting Vendors, Customers or Contacts for a “List” type filter, the list of entities is now initially sorted by Name, not by Number.

Added “Sales Rep” and “Tax Code” fields to Customer Database Import.

When using the golden arrow button to send listbox contents to a printer, the printout now uses our standard report font, Arial Narrow.

Job Costing

Added the option to disallow finishing Job Setup when no Project Manager has been assigned.

When editing a cost code budget, the user can now change the Description.

Added an “Auto Create” button in the Job Setup Billings tab that automatically creates one billing phase per budgeted cost code.

Added the option to set up an Auto Job Billing job with NO billing phases, just one set of markups by cost type.

On the new job cost analysis Cost by Billing Phase report, added a new section for cost codes not assigned to any phase.

When you click OK to save a Bonding Report limit with a date or fiscal period range, the system now forces the “Effective Date” field to match the last date in the date range or the last day of the last fiscal period in the fiscal period range.

The Job Overview button can now also be accessed at the top of the Job Setup window.

Added the ability for user to exclude "Internal" change orders from the change order section of the analysis reports, keeping them in the Base Costs instead.

Accounts Payable

Added an “Open Retention” column to the AP Overview Browse Vendors by Aging Period.

The Expirations tab in Vendor entry now includes checkboxes for “Additional Insured” and “Waiver of Subrogation” endorsements.

Added an option to warn of expired vendor documents on regular check stubs (it already does it on the Subcontract check stub).

If a trade invoice line item charged to a job has just quantities and zero dollars, it will now correctly post those quantities to the job.

Added buttons on the Payment Selection browse to place or remove a payment hold.

Added another line to the signature block on standard Lien Waiver forms where the person can print their name.
 

General Ledger

Added a new token called [StartDate] to financial statement design, this code will print the first day of the first fiscal period in the range.

Added an option in the Transaction Listing limit window to subtotal Credits & Debits by Journal Number.

When importing GL Transactions, the system now recognizes numbers in parentheses as being credits.

Accounts Receivable

Added the ability to remember the date of the current draw application.

The user can now change the invoice number on a posted AR invoice in Invoice Overview.

When printing an AR Trade Invoice with quantities that have different decimal places, the system now compensates and right-justifies them properly.

On the History tab in Customer Entry, added column totals for all the columns.

Added the option to place Sales Tax on AR Progress Billings.

Payroll

Added ability to export Certification Report in xml format for California DIR upload.

Reorganized the Messages section of the payroll check stub to be able to see more message information.

On the Multi-Rate check stub, Other Pay items that have the identical description are now summarized in the rate breakdown section.

Created a new capability in vacation accrual, allowing the user to set a hard limit for the number of hours an employee can accrue per year.

Handcheck Entry now allows for retrieving and paying employee commissions.

DataView/FormMaker

Added Print1099 and FederalID fields to pertinent Accounts Payable views.

Added Change Order fields to DataView Job Cost Analysis and Job Cost Detail views.

Added the Cost of Goods Sold field to the AR Invoice Listing view.

Added the Cost Code Description field to the AP Invoice Listing view.

The field that holds DataView formula information is now much larger, allowing for more complex formulas.

Added green bar effect to the list boxes in DataView.

Added the “Job Name” field to the list of available fields on the FormMaker Customer Statement.

Added “Extra Anticipated Costs” field to DataView for Job Summary and Analysis views.

Added "Cost Type", "Group Code", and "Subcontractor Email" fields to DataView for Job Analysis and Job Cost Detail views.

Added "Subcontractor ID", "Subcontractor Name", and "Subcontractor Phone" fields to DataView for Cost Detail view.

Overview Screens 

In the financial statement overview, the GL Transaction Description now matches the description we show on transaction reports.

On the Job Cost Overview, we added a column for Last Date Invoiced/Billed.

A new column has been added to the Billings tab of the Job Overview window that shows the first attached invoice note.

Added a Transaction Detail list box to the Budget & Costs tab of the Job Overview.

Added the ability to set a range of fiscal periods in the Job Cost tab of the Balance Back Overview.

Inventory 

Added the ability to filter the Inventory History report by Location.
