New Features in Version 18.0 (January 2018)

General Enhancements

The report parameters at the bottom of all the printed reports are now a slightly darker shade of gray.

Throughout the system, date display formats have been standardized to be a fixed width (e.g. 03/08/18 instead of 3/8/18) to improve screen and report readability.

Add the option for the user to specify the exact initial zoom percentage for report previews.

All User Defined fields have been converted to drop-down boxes so the system can save entered values.

In General Ledger Setup in the Paper Trail Options window, the user can now check a box to instruct the system to preview printed checks.

Job Costing

When the user forces a job to the "Completed" status on the bonding report, the system now prints the urrent "Cost to Date" figure in the "Projected Cost" field, forcing the completion percentage to 100%.

When duplicating aspects of an existing job on the Budget tab in Job Setup, the user can now copy the PR Tax Default settings from the existing job.

When importing job information using the Setup > Import Database Information menu option, the system will now allow imported job information to merge with an existing job.

The Certified Contract Number field in the Job Header file is now larger, allowing for bigger contract numbers.

Accounts Payable

The Invoice Number column on the Accounts Payable Check Register is now wider so more of the invoice number will show.

The Posted Invoice Analysis report can now be filtered to exclude inactive vendors.

Added a Recalculate button to the "Miscellaneous" tab in vendor entry. This button will recalculate the 1099 Amount Paid.

General Ledger

When printing the financial statement with system-calculated over/under billings, the system now recalculates the difference when the user changes either the Billed in Excess or the Cost in Excess figure. User Conference Suggestion

If the user is disallowed from viewing the "Account Balances" tab in account setup, they are now also unable to see the "Balance" column in the account setup browse window.

The user can now choose to include or exclude inactive assets on the Fixed Asset Listing.

Added the option to print all companies on one page in the Multi-Company Financial Statement printing program.

Accounts Receivable

Added the ability to include Sales Tax Codes in Progress Billing entry.

When calculating AR and AP Invoice Due Dates and Discount Dates based on Day of Month, and the day is the 29th, 30th or 31st, the system now puts the due or discount date on the last day of the subsequent month.

Add the letter "T" to taxable line items on printed AR Invoices.

The AR Sales Tax Report now has headers on every page of the report.

The AR Sales Tax Report now has the option to print readability bars.

When printing Customer Statements, the user now has the option to include a "Past Due" stamp on the printed report. User Conference Suggestion

When re-printing a posted invoice, the user now has the option to include a "Past Due" stamp on the printed invoice. User Conference Suggestion

When printing the AR Tax Summary report, the user can now filter the report by Invoice Date AND by Paid Date.

When printing the AR History report, the user can now opt to show receipt details (show which invoices the receipts were applied to).

When browsing the job list in Automatic Job Billing, the user can now include or exclude Inactive and Closed jobs.

Payroll

The Timesheet Proof Listing now includes equipment usage when the Include Equipment checkbox is checked.

The Certified Craft Code browse window now includes a Golden Arrow button so the contents of the window can be printed or exported.

When setting up employee Vacation/Sick Pay/Pension accruals, the employee hire date is visible to aid in setup.

The employee name is now visible in all the different timsheet entry windows.

The Equipment Usage window in Timesheet Entry now has a "Cancel" button.

When printing W-2's, the user can now opt to include Section 125 deduction amounts in box 14.

State SDI amounts are now included in W-2 box 14 instead of in the Local Tax fields.

Added the option to split out Regular and Overtime hours on the Workers Compensation Audit Report by Employee.

When the user clicks the button in Federal Tax Setup to automatically update the tax tables, the list of tax table changes now has a Golden Arrow so the user can print or export the list of changes. Also, at the top of the window there is a link so the user can view the Publication 15 document on the IRS website. This shows the source for the tax table changes.

DataView

When setting up subtotaling options on a View, the user can now instruct the report to start a new page after the subtotal.

The DataView Trial Balance View now has a separate filter for Fiscal Period.

Overview Screens 

When viewing the Customer Totals window in the Accounts Receivable Overview, the user can now click a checkbox to include all customer in the list, not just those with open invoices.

Equipment Costing  

The Physical Description field from the entry window is now displayed as a colum in the Equipment browse window.

Added a report that shows detail of equipment usage charged to jobs. User Conference Suggestion

Added new fields for Make, Model and Year to the Equipment file.

Added the option to change the Equipment ID after the equipment has been entered but before any costs have been posted. User Conference Suggestion
