New Features in Version 18.1 (July 2018)

General Enhancements

Attachment list boxes now include a Date column next to the Description and Type columns so that the user can sort the attachments by date. User Conference Suggestion

The user can now modify a global setting, so that when selecting an ID for a new vendor or customer, the system will either default to the next available number (higher than the highest existing number) or search for and find the first unused number.

Logging into a new company has been streamlined. If the company you are switching to has your same User ID and password, the login skips the User ID and Password screen.

For each different posting type, the posting reports have been combined into one report preview.

Added the ability to change a date by typing any of these keystrokes:

Payroll

When calculating Paid to Employee Cash Fringes, a new calculation has been added representing x% of the employee's wage rate per hour. For example, 4% means that if the employee's regular rate is $20 per hour, the system will calculate .80 per hour worked.

Added a limit for YTD taken “Time Off” hours.

The paycheck stub now reflects only the number of Time Off hours AVAILABLE for pay (i.e. they might have 50 accrued, but they only have 5 available until they hit the yearly limit).

The Unemployment Report column titled “Hours Worked” now includes Time Off hours.

When opening a window to edit an employee, the employee's name appears in the title bars of all sub-windows as well as the main employee entry window.

Redesigned the list boxes in timesheet entry that show entered hours and distribution so that they are more easily readable. User Conference Suggestion

Added a column to the browse box containing fringe benefits on the Union Table Update window. The new column contains a description of the rates.

PR Time Off report now has an option to include people who have not taken any time off.

Added Time Off accruals to the timesheet posting reports and to the Earnings Detail report.

When importing timesheets, you can now have the system convert regular hours over 8 per day or 40 in total to overtime. User Conference Suggestion

When importing timesheets, there is now an option to convert hours over 40 to overtime hours during the import process.

The user can now attach additional items to voucher emails. User Conference Suggestion

Combined the Federal End of Quarter Report and FICA End of Quarter Report into one report preview.

General Ledger

In transaction batch entry, a new “Transfer Funds” procedure asks the user for an amount and an account from and to and automatically creates a group of transactions. User Conference Suggestion

When printing the GL Trial Balance, an option has been added to exclude accounts that have no activity or have no balance.

Added the ability to click on any GL Transaction and see the transaction “In Context,” showing the entire posting the transaction came from. User Conference Suggestion

Loans now have an “Active” flag. When a loan is deactivated, it will now longer show up in the list of loans for creating payment invoices. User Conference Suggestion

Accounts Receivable

A new Accounts Receivable setting lets the user determine whether or not to print the letter “T” on taxable line items on printed invoices.

On the Trade Invoice Main Screen in the list of detail line items, there is now a column that indicates whether the item is Taxable or not

Added the Sales Tax Percentage to the printed A/R invoice. User Conference Suggestion

Added a “Sales Representative” limit to the AR Aging & History Reports limit window.

Accounts Payable

Added a new flag for “In Compliance” for all the different vendor insurance types.

When clicking the “Print” button in the AP Invoice Entry window to print an Instant Check, the system now gives the option to use the next available check number stored in the system.

Job Costing

JC Analysis reports now have a limit that excludes line items where the budget is zero.

Any Note entered into Job Setup can now be designated as a “Reminder” note, one that will pop up when a timesheet or invoice is being charged to this job. User Conference Suggestion

On the printed Field Report Worksheet, the user can now include a “Completion Date.” This is the date by which the project manager should return the completed form to the accounting department. User Conference Suggestion

When typing in a “Job ID” field, the user can now type any segment of the Job Name, and the system will look up the job.

DataView

Added the “Income Account” field to DataView Invoice Detail Listing.

Purchase Order

When charging a purchase order to a subcontract cost code, if a subcontractor has not yet been assigned, the system now asks if the user wants to assign the selected subcontractor to the subcontract.

Equipment Costing

When printing Equipment Costing reports the user can now use the “All / Range / List” style filter for setting Equipment ID and Cost Category limits.
