New Features in Version 20.0 (January 2020)

General

A new option has been added to the Miscellaneous Setup Options window in the Posting Notifications group. The option, titled “Ask user to advance Current Fiscal Period during posting,” lets the user indicate whether or not the posting message asking to advance the Current Fiscal Period should be displayed.

All FormMaker report preview windows now allow for generating PDF.

In Setup > Preferences, each user now has the option to turn audible warnings on or off.

The user can now choose their own preferred color for the greenbar style list box highlighting throughout the system.

Overviews

A new “Cash Management Overview” link is now included in the A/R and A/P sections of the Company Overview window. These lead to a window showing expected cash in from A/R and expected cash out from A/P, with a cash projection summary at the bottom.

General Ledger

When browsing the GL Accounts window to select an account, sometimes the account list is filtered based on the type of account needed (Checking Account, Credit Card Account, etc.). Now the user can tick a checkbox on the browse window to Show All accounts.

A Multi-Company Financial Statement layout can now be created by clicking a button to duplicate an existing single company financial statement.

Accounts Payable

When printing the A/P Posted Invoice Analysis Report in the Standard format, the user can now elect to exclude the Vendor Aging section, making the report more readable.

The system can now issue a warning or disallow a person from posting invoices with invoice dates that are not within the posting fiscal period date range.

In vendor entry on the history tab, column totals are now optional. For vendors with hundreds of invoices in the list, this speeds up the program.

Accounts Receivable

The system can now issue a warning or disallow a person from posting invoices with invoice dates that are not within the posting fiscal period date range.

Added the ability to email invoices to multiple customers at the same time. This includes the option to “Print Untagged” invoices.

The user new has the option in the A/R Setup window to dictate how many decimal places they want to show in the Tax Percent field in invoice entry.

In the Receipts Batch Properties window, the user can now indicate how entered receipt amounts are to be distributed in that batch. Choices include, “No automatic distribution,” “Fully distribute received amount,” and “Exact amount match only.” User Conference Suggestion

On the Contractor Draw Phase Status Report, there is a new column for “Remaining Amount to Bill.”

When the user clicks the “Update Draw” button in the Contractor Draw browse window, the system will now display any notes from the Job Setup window that have been flagged, “Display this message when entering AR Billings.”

Payroll

In the Employee Entry window, the user can now enter information from the new 2020 W-4 form. The Timesheet Posting program will correctly use the new W-4 information to calculate federal tax withholdings. This includes the option to use the new federal Head of Household withholding table, and employee-provided exemption, other income, and total deduction figures.

On the Payroll Certification report (WH-347), the user now has an option in the limit window to dictate which deductions show up in the two available deduction columns.

Added the ability to properly calculate Paid Family & Medical Leave (Washington State). This includes a standard deduction calculated as a percent of gross, and an employer match at 57.9 percent of the employee portion.

In the Local Tax setup, the user can now indicate that the tax should show up in Box 14 on the employee W2.

In the Payroll Setup, Other Pay types section, the user can now add a Default Cost Code in addition to the Default GL Account.

When printing Labels or Envelopes for Employees, the user can now choose to print Last Name First.

In the Payroll Certification Report printing limit window, the user can now request an XML file formatted to fit AASHTO requirements.

On the Earnings Detail report, “Other Pay” line items now are printed with the user-supplied “Other Pay Type” description.

The Workers Comp Audit Report limit window now includes the ability to filter the report using the “Job List” limit type.

In the Deduction Report limit window, the user can now export a “401k Audit” text file. This will automatically find all deductions that are set for W2 box 12 reporting using code D (401k) or code AA (Roth 401k). It will then create a spreadsheet showing the wage and deduction amounts of all employees taking part in the plan.

Added a memo field to the Employee Expirations record so the user can record more information about the document. User Conference Suggestion

Job Costing

In the Job Summary report Cost vs Billing Summary, the user now has two options for calculating Gross Profit Percent (GP %).

Added new report filters for Salesman, Foreman and Estimator to all Job Costing report limit windows.

Added the ability to store “Owner Information,” including the owner name and address, to the Job Setup window.

Added the new “Owner Information” section of Job Setup to the Job Listing report.

When entering a Change Order, the system now stores the User ID of the user who entered the change.

Purchase Orders

When emailing POs, the Subject line of the email now includes the Purchase Order Number.

On the printed Purchase Order Listing, the column titled “Reconciled” now includes both AP Invoice and Pack Slip reconciliations.

DataView

Added “Sales Tax Code” to the available fields in the Customer List view.

Added the “Executive,” “Mailing List,” “Nonresident Alien,” “Disabled,” and “Veteran” checkboxes to the available fields in the Employee List view.

Added the “Last Receipt Date” to the available fields in the Job Summary Report view.

Added the “Job Category for EEO Survey” setting from the personal tab in Employee Entry to the Employee Listing and Earnings Detail Report views.
