New Features in Version 23.1 (September 2023)

General

Throughout the application, all list boxes now show a counter that indicates the number of records in the list.

Throughout the application, all report printing limit windows that include a "List" type limit now allow for saving and retrieving saved limit lists.

When changing a user password, the administrator no longer needs to know the old password. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

Payroll

The user can now apply color shading to the boxes on the payroll check stub.

When voiding paychecks, the user can now see a list of posted paychecks, tag the desired ones, and void them. No need to enter each one individually.

The timesheet import program can now import a timesheet description. This is useful for taxable or non-taxable other pay timesheets.

Workers Compensation accrual can now have a Per Pay Period limit for each unique Workers Comp Craft Code.

In Timesheet Entry, the list box for Timesheet Entry by Job now includes the total number of hours charged to each job.

Added a new printing format for the Payroll Certification report for the state of California, the form A-1-131.

The Monthly Union Report now includes the option to include or exclude the employee Social Security Number.

Added the Pay Type (Check or Direct Deposit) to the Timesheet Proof Listing. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

On the Multi-Rate Breakdown section of the PR check stub, re-titled the total as "Gross Earnings" and added rows for "Total Deductions" and "Net Earnings".

Accounts Payable

The user can now apply color shading to the boxes on the Accounts Payable check stub.

The system can now accrue "Use Tax" into a liability account during AP Invoice Posting.

The list of invoices on the Vendor Entry > History Tab can now be sorted by Paid Date, Check Number and Amount.

A new tab has been added to the Vendor Entry window titled "Payments". Individual payments are listed along with the invoices they paid for.

When emailing AP Payment Vouchers, the user now has the ability to use either the expanded email address (e.g. John Doe <j.doe@gmail.com>) or the simple email address (e.g. j.doe@gmail.com).

When emailing AP Payment Vouchers, the user can now send the voucher to more than one vendor contact.

A Lien Waiver can now be created for a payment that reconciled multiple invoices.

When voiding invoices, the user can now opt to see ALL invoices in the selection window, even if the displayed invoices are not able to be automatically voided. When the user attempts to tag an invoice that is not available for automatic voiding, the system will display a message explaining why this invoice cannot be automatically voided.

A new option in the Invoice Batch Settings lets the user specify whether or not new invoice line items will be created as "Subject to Sales Tax".

Job Costing

When printing the JC Analysis Report, the system will now skip jobs for which no activity is being reported.

JC Analysis Reports now have a shading band highlighting the beginning of each job.

When printing a Change Order Form for a customer on a Contractor Draw job, you can now choose to print a Draw Style Change Order, instead of the standard Change Order form.

General Ledger

When creating manual GL Transactions, a new screen allows the entry of desired balances for multiple accounts. The system will generate a group of transactions that adjust each account balance to the desired balance.

Equipment Costing

Depreciation Entries can now be generated directly from the Equipment Setup browse window in Equipment Costing.

Sales Order

When entering line items on a Price Quote or a Sales Order, the user can now skip the Quantity and Unit Price fields and just enter an amount.

Accounts Receivable

When viewing a posted AR Invoice, the user can now edit the Invoice Date, Due Date, and Description.

Purchase Order

When entering a PO Line Item, the user can now specify whether this line item is "Subject to Shipping." This setting carries through to the AP Invoice when the PO is reconciled.

Overviews

In the Financial Statement Overview, you can now adjust the filter for viewing transactions to the highlighted account. You can see transactions for just the selected fiscal period, for the entire year, or for all time.

Setup

When granting access to a user for the Setup menu options, each specific setup window under the "Setup > Accounting Options" submenu can be enabled or disabled. For example, the user can be granted access to Accounts Payable Setup Options, but denied access to Payroll Setup Options.

When editing user settings, the administrator can now change the user password without having to know the user's previous password. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

Utilities

The Recalculate Job Costs procedure can now be instructed to include Closed Jobs in the recalculation.

The Purge procedure has received some modifications to make it simpler and safer.
