New Features in Version 5.1 (August 2005)

DataViewT/FormMaker was enhanced so that:

The Export View feature now creates the specified subdirectory if it does not exist.

The Inventory Item Price File "Active" checkbox was added.

The “User ID” field was added to the GL Transaction Listing reports.

Accounts Receivable was enhanced so that:

If a Customer still has invoices in the invoice file, the Customer may not be deleted. In order to delete a Customer, all invoices must be purged first.

The Aging Report now includes a grand total field which totals the Open amount and the Retention amount.

As-Of Aging report now includes a grand total field which totals the Open amount and the Retention amount.

Unposted Invoices may now be printed from the Invoice Batch screen.

During Invoice entry, the Customer Name lookup now “excludes” inactive customers if the setting is to “hide” inactive customers.

Each Receipts batch may now be set to a default Cash Account. That way, if receipts are made to separate cash accounts, a batch may be set up for each of those accounts.

Accounts Payable was enhanced so that:

When a Purchase Order line item is reconciled with an AP Invoice, the Unit Name is now displayed.

In check printing, if the total dollar amount of the selected checks exceeds the dollar amount in the displayed account balance, a warning will be displayed.

All four lien waiver types or any combination of the four may now be printed at the same time.

1099s may now be printed in alphabetic order, by Vendor Name.

1099s can now print the payer's State Information in Box 17 .

In Trade Invoice entry, the pulldown lookup for Vendor Name now excludes inactive vendors if the setting is to “hide” inactive vendors.

Job Costing was enhanced so that:

When inserting a continuation sheet billing phase in Draw setup, the Description field now gets focus first (the phase number field is skipped).

Payroll was enhanced so that:

“Tips” may now be tracked and reported. This includes two types of tips, Tips that are received by the employee and reported to the employer and tips collected by the employer and paid to the employee in their paychecks.

Commissions may now be tracked and paid.

Timesheet Proof Listings now display the Job name, Equipment description or GL account description in the Description column.

During Hand Check entry, Standard Deductions may be looked up from the employee file.

“Terminated” Employees are now displayed in RED in the Employee Lookup window.

If an employee has a document that is at or near expiration, a warning pops up during Timesheet Entry.

In Employee Entry, the Preview W2 window now displays State and Local information.

The Salary Timesheet entry screen now has an optional Date field.

Inventory was enhanced so that:

The Item Price File can now include both “Assemblies” and “Bundles.” Assemblies are lists of component parts that are assembled prior to being sold. Bundles are lists of component parts that are pulled together at the time of purchase. Bundles may be modified at the time the order is entered.

General Ledger was enhanced so that:

Financials that are printed with the “Monthly Trend Analysis” no longer prints blank columns for months that are outside the selected Fiscal Period range.

Bank Reconciliation now allows a “drill down” to see more detail on each deposit or check, indicating who the deposited items are from and who the paid items were paid to.

Sales Order Entry was enhanced so that:

Inventory is “relieved” during Sales Order Fulfillment.

Price Quotes can now be duplicated for re-use.

If the entry of a new Sales Order will push the Customer over their Credit Limit, a warning will be displayed.

The Sales Order Listing now includes the Order Number.

The Sales Order Listing can be “limited” by Order Number.

The Price Quote Listing now includes the Quote Number.

The Price Quote Listing can be “limited” by the Quote Number.

Purchase Order was enhanced so that:

The “on hand” quantity is updated when a Purchase Order is reconciled.

General Enhancements:

The Data Integrity test during postings now includes the “Journal Number” of the posting that triggered the error. This will pinpoint the source of errors.

The warning that pops up if you try to post and someone is already posting has been enhanced to display who is posting and which posting they are doing. This will save time in larger networks.
