New Features in Version 9.0 (December 2008)

The Overview Screens were enhanced so that:

The Financial Statement Overview has been “activated” allowing users to “expand or contract” Single, Master, or Totaling Accounts, even to allow viewing of the transactions making up monthly balances. This enhancement came from a suggestion at the Boston User Conference.

The Accounts Receivable Overview now indicates whether an Invoice has been voided.

The Accounts Payable Overview now indicates whether an Invoice has been voided. This enhancement came from a suggestion at a recent User Conference.

DataView was enhanced so that:

An External Employee ID has been added to the Employee Listing.

Payroll was enhanced so that:

A new 401(k) Report, Deductions by Employee, has been added.

The State Quarter End Unemployment Report has the option of including for the number of hours an employee worked. This enhancement came from a suggestion at the Boston User Conference.

Voided Timesheets or Checks may now include an explanation of the reason for the void. This enhancement came from a suggestion at a recent User Conference.

The Payroll Purge, which allows the history for selected employees to be purged, now includes the option to delete purged employees entirely. This enhancement came from a suggestion at a recent User Conference.

Standard Deductions can now have a limit per pay period. For example, a deduction can be set up as 2% of the Gross Wage, not to exceed $20. This enhancement came from a suggestion at a recent User Conference.

When an automatic Employment History entry is made for Termination, the reason for the Termination is automatically recorded in the Employee's Record.

The Employee Listing now includes the option for printing Employee Tenure, including Time Elapsed since Hire Date, total number of Months Worked, and total number of Pay Periods.

The Quarter-End report, the State Earnings Register, now includes a column for Hours Worked.

When doing a Payroll Posting that includes Direct Deposit, the Payroll Posting Summary Report now includes the total of all amounts that will be Direct Deposited. This amount matches the amount on the ACH File generated during Check Printing.

When printing Direct Deposit Vouchers, a new option allows the printing of the Company Name and Address on the Voucher. This enhancement came from a suggestion at a recent User Conference.

The labels of Vacation, Sick Pay, and Pension are now “user defined” allowing them to be modified for all checks, reports, along with the respective data entry fields. This enhancement came from a suggestion at a recent User Conference.

The Social Security Number may be removed from the Employee browse screen for selected users.

Job Costing was enhanced so that:

Change Order Listing now has an option to include Notes and extended Descriptions.

In Job Billing Phase entry, if Phases are moved up or down, the line items can be automatically renumbered by pressing a new button on that screen. This enhancement came from a suggestion at the Boston User Conference.

When entering a Subcontract Change Order, there is a new Subcontract Change Order identification number that distinguishes this change order from others. The new ID appears on the Subcontract Status Report.

The following new reports may be printed: 1) Change Order to Owner, 2) Change Order to Subcontractor, and 3) Subcontract forms from the original entry screens. These reports do NOT require FormMaker.

Accounts Payable was enhanced so that:

As-Of Aging Reports may now include 30, 60, and 90 day aging.

The Subcontractor Status Report may now be sorted by Job, by Vendor Number, or by Vendor Name.

Voided Invoices or Checks may now include an explanation of the reason for the void. This enhancement came from a suggestion at a recent User Conference.

The Payables Detailed Aging Report now shows the Job Name next to the default Job Number.

Checks may now be printed in Vendor Number order in addition to printing them by Vendor Name (alphabetically).

A new option allows limiting the printing of a Check Register to a single vendor.

When receiving a “Duplicate Invoice” warning during Invoice Entry, a new “View” button allows the Invoice to be viewed. This enhancement came from a suggestion at the Boston User Conference.

Accounts Receivable was enhanced so that:

Statement Printing now includes a limit to exclude Invoices where only Retention remains.

Historical Statement Printing now includes a limit to exclude voided Invoices and voided Receipts.

Statements now include the Job Description.

Invoices may now include the company's phone and fax numbers in addition to the company's logo.

Invoices may now be printed for entire ranges of Customers and ranges of Dates. This enhancement came from a suggestion at a recent User Conference.

Purchase Orders were enhanced so that:

When reviewing on-screen purchase orders, multiple POs may now be tagged and JobView will print or delete all the tagged POs.

General Ledger was enhanced so that:

The on-screen list of Loans may now be sorted by Loan Description, Vendor or Customer, Date, Amount, etc. This enhancement came from a suggestion at the Boston User Conference.

General Enhancements include:

Access to Changing and Deleting attachments can now be limited “by user” in the Setup>User Information.

An new “Map Button” (an Icon of a globe) is now located on all screens where an Address is in the data entry screen. Pressing that icon will give the option to retrieve a Google Map of the address on the screen or to get instructions to get to that address.
